The Algiz rune is a powerful symbol of protection, sanctuary, and connection to the divine. Its meanings derive from its connection to the elk, whose defensive stance protects against threats, and its role as a shield against both physical and spiritual harm. In divination, it signifies guidance, strength, and a connection to higher powers, though a reversed Algiz can be a warning of vulnerability and a call to strengthen one's defences. 
 
It is believed warriors carved the Algiz rune on their weapons and shields for protection and to invoke the favour of the gods in battle.
 
We hand carved the rune then cast it in copper. The pendant comes on a corded necklace with chain extender or has the option for an 18 inch sterling silver chain.
